My Story

Imagine growing up feeling like a puzzle piece that doesn't fit, knowing you're different but unable to explain why. Being gay was just one part of it; there were countless other ways I felt out of sync with those around me. I didn’t have the words to explain it, so I internalized it as a fundamental flaw within myself. Science and math became my sanctuary. They provided the answers and certainty I longed for, contrasting sharply with the confusing and often hurtful behavior of people around me. Family and strangers alike perplexed me with their capacity for both kindness and cruelty, leaving me to wonder why they acted this way. I concluded it must be my fault—if something was wrong with me, it made sense they treated me poorly. Fueled by this insecurity, I threw myself into learning and excelling in school. Achieving high grades and mastering new skills became my way of proving my worth. But deep down, it was fear driving me—the fear of not being good enough. It took years for me to realize that everyone is different, and being gay was just one aspect of my uniqueness. I learned that people’s meanness was often a reflection of their own insecurities. They projected their fears onto me, using me as a scapegoat to avoid facing their own issues. This revelation sparked my fascination with the human mind. Determined to understand why people acted the way they did, I delved into psychology and computer science. Studying human perception and cognition helped me unravel the mysteries of behavior and beliefs. While working in the tech industry, I noticed how stress made people revert to their younger, more vulnerable selves, deepening my understanding of how our past shapes our present. During this time, I also trained for triathlons. Pushing my physical limits taught me about the body’s ability to hold onto trauma and pain. I found a profound connection between physical endurance and psychological resilience. This led me to explore various therapies, including psychedelic journeys and yoga. These experiences highlighted the importance of a holistic approach to healing, addressing mind, body, and spirit together. With this newfound understanding, I decided to combine my knowledge of psychology with my love for coaching and yoga. I started my own practice, blending cognitive behavioral techniques, visual storytelling, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), somatic experiencing, hypnosis, body scans, and yoga practices. If you’re ready to embark on your own journey of self-discovery and healing, I invite you to reach out.
